SUNDAY PARKING.

Our families have top priority when it comes to parking. Turn at the blue “Family Parking” flag to park in front of DCC’s main entrance.

DOWNTOWN KIDS CHECK IN.

Once you enter the lobby through the main entrance, follow the “KIDS” sign to your right! Your family will be greeted and checked in by one of our amazing Downtown Kids volunteers. After answering a few questions, your child will receive a name tag with a unique code, emergency contact information, and any needs your child has. The parents/guardians will receive a second tag that has the exact code to use for reentry into the hallway for pick up. All parents/guardians must have the sticker matching their family's unique weekly code in order to pick up their children. Once your family is checked in, we will give you a quick tour of our unique kids environment, Hope City!

HOPE CITY/CLASSROOMS

Hope City is our 6,000 sq ft Families Ministry facility! Designed to recreate some of Tallahassee’s favorite attractions, this space was created to best serve the families in our community. With eight classrooms, a large group room, and kids only bathrooms, we want to not only keep your children safe, but have them excited to learn about Jesus! 

Each classroom has at least two trained, background checked volunteers that are committed each Sunday to serve your child and teach them about the love of our Savior, Jesus Christ. Our Downtown Kids team strives to not only provide engaging teachings but to facilitate a fun Sunday experience that will have your child excited to come back to church!

CURRICULUM.

Each week we utilize the Orange Curriculum to teach your child about the Bible. Orange Curriculum's teachings are always relevant, biblical, engaging, and experiential. Each month has a theme, bottom line, and memory verse that teaches students how we can love, serve, and praise our God. 

We also want to equip the parents/guardians to reinforce these lessons throughout the week at home. Each month you will be given a Parent Cue that summarizes the lessons your children will be learning each week! Parent Cues provide conversation starters, activities, and reminders that you as a parent can use in your household to assist your child's walk with Christ. Since you are your child’s biggest influence, we encourage you to download the Parent Cue app to access even more resources right at your fingertips!

SECURITY.

Security is a top priority for the Downtown Kids team. Before, during, and after each service, we have a designated "bodyguard" who stays at the front of the Hope City entrance. The only people allowed into the hallway will be students, volunteers, and parent(s)/designated person with the corresponding sticker code for the child they are picking up.
