September 2018 Update
God is so GOOD! To see the impact he’s had on so many peoples lives through DCC over the years and continuing into this year is amazing! Our church has grown from a small bible study starting in 2012 to over 700 people a Sunday in 2018! With this continual growth we are constantly working on ways to continue to be as welcoming and genuine as possible because we believe community within the congregation is necessary in ones walk with Christ.
Over the past few months we have been doing a ton of renovations and design changes within the building to aid in welcoming more people into a environment that can help foster Christ centered life change. I have the pleasure in using the gifts God gave me to create and design so much of our building. This included updating our coffee bar, reworking our Connect Desk where people can learn how to get more involved, create a prayer wall, and change up our stage design. Now we are currently working on updating some of our kids space. Our congregation is full of students who may not be able to provide financially but are always willing to serve with their time. With this willingness and faith, God has always provided when we need to grow and change. We’ve had more people volunteering as interns, more staff coming aboard by fundraising, and even hired a needed women discipleship leader.
One thing I’ve enjoyed the most over the past year is the community group my roommate and I have been leading over the past year. We get to build community with guys who have a desire to follow God and be accountability to each other in growing our faith.
I ask that as I continue working for DCC you will continue praying for not only myself but for the church and the community around it also. If you feel lead to help continue supporting me you can click the support button below to give a one time gift or set up a reoccurring monthly donation. As always, if you have questions or would like to reach out to me, you can find my info at the bottom of the page!
As we begin to move into our new building off Palmer Avenue, I will be using my gifts in art and design to help create the environment we envision for our church. I will also continue in designing graphics used throughout our church ministries.
At Downtown Community Church we love to reach out and serve our community, but we also love to open our doors and share our space with other organizations to hold events and meetings.
