Our new building will have a sanctuary for our Sunday gatherings that gives us an opportunity to house approximately 400 people. The building also has five large rooms for our Children’s ministry, more functional space for the HOPE Afterschool Program, and an expanded Welcome Space with our coffee bar.
DCC’s mission has always been to Love God, Make Disciples and Be Great Neighbors. The new location (231 Palmer Ave), less than a mile of our current location, is still close in proximity to FAMU and FSU, as well as near a growing neighborhood of young families. It’s also nearby to our Project Tallahassee action sites, specifically the PHI Center and ECHO.
To be transparent, we are still in need of fundraising $130,000 to make our move a reality. Our goal is to raise $130,000 to fully pay for the renovation and the additional equipment that we will need. We know that this number may seem large, so we are asking that you take ownership of the vision of DCC and first pray and then consider how you can financially invest in this building project. No matter the size of your contribution both big and small, we know that God will do extravagantly more than we can think or imagine. Here is an easy breakdown of the numbers for one of the many ways to get to our goal:
1 Person @ $10,000+
1 Person @ $10,000
3 people @ $5,000
10 people @ $2,000
20 people @ $1,000
30 people @ $500
100 people @ $250
150 people @ $100
Total = 342 people giving $130,000
As we transition into this new space, we ask that you pray continuously and confidently for our church--for the leaders and owners who are seeking to obey God’s hand in our city. We want to be a committed body earnest and faithful in approaching God to his ultimate glory every single day. We love you all and are expecting to see God’s movement during this transition.
